This Peach Coffee Cake originally featured on my Just Winging It blog back in 2013.
I don't think I have made it since and I would like to make this again.
The coffee cake is a basic buttermilk coffee cake recipe with home made canned peaches. At the time we were into canning and had some canned peaches. When it comes time to make this again I will have to either used canned peaches or fresh peaches.
When I do make this again, I am also going to have to redo the photo.

Peach Coffee Cake
1 1/4 cup flour3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 t salt
1/3 cup butter
1 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 beaten egg
1 can peaches - drained
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Combine flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until it is crumbly. Set aside 1/4 cup of the crumb mixture. To the remaining crumb mixture add baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and add the buttermilk and the egg. Spread the batter in greased 8 X 8 inch pan. Layer peaches on top of batter ( I rolled my peaches in corn starch, but this may not be necessary.) Stir together reserved crumbs and nuts and sprinkle on top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until done.
Your Peach Coffee Cake will be delicious, I just love peaches! Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us at Full Plate Thursday and please come back soon!
