I plan on making these socks' As you can see I did this sock back in 2008. This will also give me a chance to test out the pattern and see if I made any mistakes.

Basket Weave Socks
Made for Carefree KAL 2008
Materials:
Fingering/sock yarn
Size 2 DP needles
Cast on 64 stitches: 32 on needle one, 16 on needle 2 and 3:
Pattern Stitch:
Row 1 and 4: Knit
Row 2-3: *P2, K2* Repeat around
Row 5-6: *K2,P2* Repeat around
Leg/ cuff:
Start with K2, P2 rib for 10 rows (or desired length) then do pattern stitch until desire leg length. When ready to do heel flap, turn after completing needle three.
Heal Flap (on needles 2 and 3):
Row 1: Slip 1, Purl across, turn
Row 2: Slip 1, Knit 1 ,*slip 1, Knit 1* turn
Repeat these two rows until you have 30 rows completed
Heal Turn:
S1,P16,P2tog,P1, turn
S1,K3,SSK,K1,turn
S1,P4,P2Tog,P1, turn
S1,K5,SSK,K1,turn
Continue in this manner until all the stitches are worked.
You should have 18 stitches on the needle
With an empty needle, pick up 16 stitches along heel flap (now needle 3) , continue pattern stitch along needle 1, pick up 16 stitches along other side of heal flap and knit the next 9 stitches (now needle 2), move remaining 9 stitches are on needle 3, 25 stitches on needles 2 and 3, 30 stitches in needle 1.
Start the decrease:
Row 1: With needle 3, knit to last three stitches, K2Tog, K1. With needle 1, continue pattern stitch. With needle 2, K1, slip the next stitch, K, and pass the slipped stitch over the K1 stitch and K until end
Row 2: Knit on needle 3, continue pattern on needle 1, Knit on needle 2
Repeat these two rows until you have 16 stitches on needles 2 and 3 (64 Total)
To continue with the foot, work the pattern stitch on needle one, and knit on needles two and three. Work until about 1 1/2 inches before desired foot length
To make the toe:
first row:starting with needle 3, k until you get to the last three stitches, k2tog and k the last stitch.On needle one k first stitch, SSK. k until the last three stitches, then k2tog, k. On need two k first stitch, SSK and k til end
Second row:Knit on all three needles
Repeat row one and two until half (30) stitches remain.
Close with Kitchener stitch.
